The definitive platform for functional biology

Human biology can only be understood through perturbation at scale. Our platform turns human tissue into a system we can control, experiment on, and learn from.

TissueDisks let us cultivate, dose, and generate readouts on hundreds of independent human tissues in parallel.

This provides the complexity of a full study matrix in a single disk, including conditions not possible in the clinic, such as human knockouts, pathogenic challenges, and induction of disease states.

HIVEs can run autonomously for weeks at a time, managing up to 10,000 tissues per study. In the footprint of a lab bench, one HIVE produces data at the scale of the largest phase 3 studies.

HIVE clusters can run in concert as a unified system, producing an unparalleled corpus of perturbational human data. Our existing clusters can execute studies on over 100,000 subjects at once, equivalent to the population of a small city.

We collapse phenomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and other measurements from every tissue into a shared latent space, enabling foundation models to learn human biology across every modality at once.

Each perturbation we execute maps the receptor-ligand networks behind the response, enabling us to causally reconstruct whole-tissue signaling pathways, one cell at a time.

A suite of ML methods, including state-of-the-art morphological segmentation and complexity-aware UMAPs, renders what our models see into structures that biologists can examine directly.
